PERU – The Valley girls golf team split a pair of Three Rivers Conference matchups Thursday ahead of the TRC tournament this weekend.

Tippecanoe Valley shot a 228 to best North Miami, but couldn’t keep pace with Maconaquah’s 198 at Peru Municipal Golf Course.

Brandi Jones led the field with a 43 for the Braves. Victoria Biddle shot a 47 as Valley’s top score, with Makayla Sandbakken at 58, Blake McBrier at 61 and Bethany Johnson at 62.

Tippecanoe Valley’s record heading into the weekend is 7-14 overall, five of those wins against common TRC opponents. The TRC will be held Saturday morning at Norwood Golf Course outside of Huntington.
