NorthWood Ladies Stay Unbeaten On The Links

NorthWood SportsNAPPANEE – The NorthWood girls golf team tuned up for the league tournament with another win Wednesday evening.

The hosts Panthers remained undefeated by downing Mishawaka 165-231 in non-conference play at McCormick Creek.

Mackenzie Weaver of the hosts earned medalist honors with a 38 over the par 36 layout.

Standout Summer Stillson shot a 40 as coach Adam Yoder’s team moved to 9-0 on the season. Abby Slabaugh had a 43, while Madison Richner shot 44 and Hope Cripe 48 for the Panthers.

Deborah Janowski led Mishawaks with a 45.

The NorthWood junior varsity shot a 224. Makenna Gall led the way with a 52. Kylee Gall shot 54, while Delaney Davis shot 57 and Kirsten Schlock 61 for the hosts.

NorthWood, which won the Northern Lakes Conference regular season title with a 7-0 mark,  will take part in the NLC Championships on Saturday. The first tee time at McCormick Creek is scheduled for 8:15 a.m.
