PIERCETON — Around 5:15 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 7, dispatchers received a call of a large fire in the area of SR 13 and CR 550E in Pierceton. After a quick investigation, Pierceton firefighters discovered that a barn at 5422 South CR 550E, Pierceton was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire completely destroyed the barn, including several cows and pigs that were inside. Winona Lake Fire Department, Sidney Fire Department and Larwill Fire Department all assisted in the fire.
