SYRACUSE – The Wawasee girls basketball program is looking to start a first through fourth grade basketball league.

The dates for the league would be Saturday, Sept. 10, through Saturday, Oct. 8, games only being played on Saturdays from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Wawasee High School annex gym. The league would consist of both fundamental work and game play. Cost is $25 for the first girl and $15 for each additional family member.

Entry forms are available at each Wawasee Community elementary school and should be filled out and turned in by Monday, Sept. 5, to the child’s school. Checks should be made to ‘Warrior Girls AAU’.

The league will be supervised and coached by an adult and/or high school basketball player. Each game session will last 90 minutes, with the first 30-40 minutes reserved for practice, the remaining time for game play.
