McDonald’s Recalls Child-Friendly Fitness Trackers
SOUTH BEND — Reports of potential skin irritations has prompted McDonald’s to stop distributing kid-friendly fitness trackers in their Happy Meals across the United States and Canada.
The “Step-it” trackers were part of a campaign to get kids moving by counting steps and blinking according to how quickly or slowly the person wearing it is moving.
While the issue is being investigated, McDonald’s restaurants are now offering an alternative Happy Meal toy for children.
