Syracuse Teen Arrested For Narcotics

SYRACUSE — Austin Paul Davidson, 17, 8181 E. Constitution Drive, Syracuse, was arrested for a level 6 felony of possession of a narcotic drug.

On Nov. 19, 2015, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was investigating a burglary. Davidson was a suspect in the burglary, so the officer obtained a search warrant for his home. Davidson was arrested at Wawasee High School shortly before the search warrant was served.

Officers searched Davidson’s bedroom. Located on top of his desk was a sunglasses case which contained a plastic bag filled with white powder. The white powder tested positive for heroin and hydrocodone. Officers also located a glass smoking device and a bottle of whiskey in the desk.

Davidson’s status as a juvenile was waived on Nov. 19, 2015. Davidson was arrested on Aug. 15 and held on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
