A 19-year-old Warsaw man suffered a broken foot when his motorcycle was struck by a vehicle on U.S. 30 that initially left the scene.

Warsaw Police responded to the crash that happened near CR 150 West and approximately 10:43 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, Erick Sawyer was on his motorcycle when a vehicle, driven by Shandi Taylor, 23, of Warsaw, swerved to avoid a semi that started to cross into her path. Taylor told police she thought she hit a post so she just kept driving.

Sawyer was taken to the hospital for treatment. Taylor was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident. She was held on $2,000 bond.
