ST. JOHN – Summer Stillson has been very consistent this first week of the high school girls golf season.
The NorthWood High School standout continued her strong play Wednesday too.
Stillson shot a round of 78, her third in three events this week, to capture individual medalist honors in the Lake Central Invitational.
Stillson finished her day at four-over par on the layout at the Palmira Golf Club. The three-time All-NLC player and returning co-captain for the No. 20 Panthers had three birdies in her round.
NorthWood finished with a team score of 369 to take fifth place in the 14-team field. Valparaiso won the team title with a 334 with host Lake Central runner-up at 344.
Mackenzie Weaver had an 86 for coach Adam Yoder’s Panthers. Abby Slabaugh finished with a 100, while Delaney Davis shot 106 and Hope Cripe 109 for NorthWood.
The Panthers return to action today in the Leo Invitational and will play in the State Preview on Saturday in Carmel.
