PIERCETON — Pierceton Days is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 5 and Saturday, Aug. 6. The theme this year is Happy 150 Birthday Pierceton. The following is a schedule of events occurring this weekend.

Friday Aug. 5 

• 8:00 a.m. Garage sale begins in town
• Noon: All vendors open, penguins bounce house and entertainment, Mel’s pony rides and petting zoo
• 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   Garage sale at Pierceton American Legion
• 11:00 a.m. to close  Fish Fry at Pierceton American Legion
• 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Car show registration at Lake City Bank ($12.00 fee per car) on State Road 13
• 6:30 p.m. Incognito Cloggers at Senior Center
• 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Free concert in park: Pick Slide
• 8:45 p.m. Car show winners announced at DJ Table
• 9:00 p.m. Miss Pierceton and Pretty Baby announced in park at grandstand

Saturday Aug. 6

• 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Garage Sale at the Pierceton American Legion
• 8:00 a.m. Car wash at Pierceton Fire Station
• Noon: Mel’s Pony Rides, petting zoo and Penguins Bounce House and Entertainment
• 1:00 p.m. Cake decorating, new contest and cake walk
• 3:00 p.m. Parade sign in at the school
• 4:00 p.m. Parade begins (Parade awards announced a half hour after parade at Brower Park)
• 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free carriage ride around town
• 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. DJ in the park
• 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hot air balloon ride (weather and wind permitting). Rides available to all for a donation. All proceeds will go to Riley Children’s Hospital.
• All Day: Pierceton Lions Club Corn on the Cob and Melon Sale and Soup Beans and corn bread
