(Photo by Tim Ashley)Fall has officially started, leaves are turning colors and the air is crisper and cooler. An annual fall event at Wawasee High School is homecoming week, which began Monday.
The week includes activities each day at the high school such as College Shirt Day Monday with a penny race and alcoves being decorated by themes. Tuesday was Tye Dye Tuesday with the penny race continuing.
Today, Wednesday, is Get Up and Go Day with the ongoing penny race. A talent show will be at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium at a cost of $1 per student and $2 per adult.

The penny race continues, alcoves will be judged right after school ends at 3:10 p.m. and the all school royalty vote will take place during Warrior Time.
Friday is Hero Day and the last day of the penny race with the results being announced. Activities will culminate in the crowning of the homecoming king and queen during halftime of the Wawasee-Warsaw football game. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Warrior Field.
