MENTONE – The state baseball tournaments got underway Thursday in the Town & Country League. Teams in 8U, 10U and 12U divisions opened play at sites in Mentone, Frankton and Flora.

Play will continue Friday and run through Monday at all three sites to determine the team champions. The Town & Country League tournaments have been playing throughout the month of July and comprise of youth league teams from around northern Indiana.
