NEW YORK — A close encounter with a black bear was caught on camera.

A guy was at a lake in Upstate New York when he spotted a black bear swimming across the water.

So he jumped into his kayak to paddle up along side the bear.

His friends stayed back on the shore.

The man in the kayak says his curiosity and his adrenaline got the best of him.
