Jerry L. Zent, 77, Columbia City, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Thursday July 14, 2016, at Kendallville Manor, Kendallville. Born on Aug. 1, 1938, in Noble County, he was the son of Howard and Eloise (Miles) Zent.

Jerry was a lifetime Whitley County resident. He attended local schools and graduated from Wolf Lake High School with the Class of 1956.

Jerry was a truck driver for Bader Trucking, Fort Wayne, for many years and also for Jasper Trucking, Merriam, where he retired from in 2001.

Survivors include his children: Kevin Zent, Tennessee; Nanette Parkison, Larwill; Gary Zent, Ligonier; Jon Zent, Florida; Mary Leslie, Columbia City; Sara Stahl, Fort Wayne; Eric Zent, Florida; Heather Zent, Leo; and Angel Conley, Wolcottville; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son: Randy Zent.

In accordance with Jerry’s wishes there will be no calling or services at this time.
