FORT WAYNE – The city of Fort Wayne will host more than 2,500 players, coaches and parents from seven states this weekend.

The Gym Rats Basketball Association is holding its national championships at Spiece Fieldhouse.More than 100 teams will be represented in the three-day event. The championships will feature boys from grades 2-7 and girls from grades 3-11. In addition to the championships, the event will include a competitive three-point contest.

The GRBA is a for-profit youth basketball organization headquartered in Fort Wayne.
