WINONA LAKE – Gavin Bussard of Tippecanoe Valley has signed his letter of intent to play baseball at Grace College.
Bussard is a 6-foot infielder. He helped the Vikings to a 7-2 mark in the Three Rivers Conference in 2016 and was named honorable mention for All-TRC.

“Gavin [Bussard] is a great kid who comes from a great family. He will be an asset to the Lancer baseball program,” said Grace head coach Bill Barr. “Gavin is a good infielder and will have a positive impact on the field next year.”

Bussard was named Valley’s MVP as a senior. He posted the highest batting average on the squad and also served as team captain.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Gavin since he was 13. He is a quality player and a quality kid,” said Vikings’ coach Justin Branock. “I am looking forward to the impact he can make at Grace, not only on the field but in the classroom and in the community.”

Bussard, who lives in Warsaw, intends to major in accounting at Grace.
