SOUTH BEND – South Bend Cubs outfielder Eloy Jimenez today was named to 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Futures Game.

The 19-year old Dominican Republic native will play for the World Team July 10 at Petco Park in San Diego.

Jimenez entering play on June 28 is hitting .347 with 10 home runs and 54 runs batted in.

The Chicago Cubs signed Jimenez as an international free agent in 2013.
