Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Kosciusko County

NORTHERN INDIANA — The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 4:30 p.m. today, Monday, June 20, for Whitley County, Noble County and Kosciusko County.

At 3:52 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located near Syracuse moving southeast at 30 mph. The storm contains 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. Hail damage to vehicles is expected, along with wind damage to roofs, sidings and trees.

The National Weather Services advises residents to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive vehicles through flooded roadways.
