Marshall County – Shortly after 8 a.m. Monday morning, the Marshall County Dispatch Center advised officers of an erratic driver on U.S. 30 near Plymouth.  Further investigation by police led officers to a mobile meth lab and a stolen car.

Bremen Post Commander, Lt. Jim Strong, spotted the suspected vehicle east bound on U.S. 30 near Oak Road. The driver of the 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix was stopped for a traffic violation and later identified as Bradley C. Shopoff, 49, of Fort Wayne. During routine questioning it was discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Fort Wayne and a methamphetamine laboratory was also located in the car.

Passengers in the vehicle, Terrence L. Welch, 41, of Fort Wayne, Joshua B. Baughman, 22, of Fremont, and Dana M. Moon, 22, of Angola, were arrested with Shopoff. All four suspects were taken to the Marshall County jail and face charges of manufacturing and dealing methamphetamine.

The state police was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, the Plymouth Police Department, and the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Section.
