Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies and Multi-Township EMS were called to the area of 3938 E. 400 North for a one vehicle crash.

Although an initial call for the Leesburg Fire Department and Samaritan air ambulance was made, both were called off when a county deputy arrived on scene and noted the crash was fairly minor.

The male driver of the van pictured ran off of CR 375 East at the CR 400 North intersection and struck a utility pole. The impact knocked the pole from its base and moved it about 2 feet. Although the power lines were holding the pole erect, Kosciusko REMC was called immediately as the utility pole was unstable.

The driver appeared to be unhurt but rattled from the crash.

No other information was immediately available.
