J. LeeRoy Arceneaux, 50, of Akron, Ind., passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in an automobile accident in Wabash County with his daughter, Brittany Arceneaux, 13.

J. LeeRoy was born March 16, 1962, in Louisiana to Herbie and Rosabelle Arceneaux. He was currently working at OJC Products in North Manchester, Ind. In earlier years he had worked in the RV industry.

He enjoyed Frisbee Golf and riding his motorcycle and canoeing the river in the summers. He also loved his dog and enjoyed any outdoor activity. He was an all around animal lover.

He is survived by two sons: Derek Arceneaux, serving in the U.S. Air Force; Tyler Arceneaux, Akron, Ind.; his mother: Rosabelle Arceneaux, Rayne, La.; three sisters: Tricia, Judy and Sandra, all of Rayne, La.; and a brother: Daniel, Rayne, La.

He was preceded in death by his daughter: Brittany Arceneaux, Dec. 21, 2012; and his father: Herbie Arceneaux.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, Ind. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Canfield. Burial will be at Akron Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Tippecanoe Valley Middle School Band.
