WARSAW — Paul and Carly Morales launched Not Easily Broken Ministries in April. The organization offers support to couples during all phases of their relationship such as engagement, marriage and family life. Not Easily Broken Ministries is built around the idea of Ecclesiastes 4:12b, a passage of Scripture often applied to marriages – “A cord of three strands is not easily broken.”

Even though the nonprofit is new to the area, it has been a plan of the couple for awhile. “I think it’s been a dream of ours since we got married, around eight years ago,” said Carly. “We are always the couple that people come to when they need help.”
Paul currently works for Fellowship Missions in Warsaw and his experience there helped navigate the essentials for becoming a nonprofit. As a nonprofit, all sessions with Paul and Carly are free for the public. The only fees that the organization has comes with optional online tools or Carly’s Sensory Play Classes.
Sensory Play Classes are one-hour sessions for children ages 1-4. “Each class is designed to help children and their caregivers not just hear, but experience a Bible story,” said Carly. “We connect kids with the key elements of that story, and strengthen the bond between the children, their parents and Jesus Christ in an environment that is fun and supportive. ”
All couples who receive help from Paul and Carly will first meet with them for a short introduction session. During this first session the couple can express where they are at in the relationship and what they wish to work on. Based on that information, Paul and Carly will then decide how many sessions the couple should have and the support will continue from there.
Paul and Carly make it a point to be present at each session. Having them both at the session allows the couple in need to get two different perspectives on their relationship. Sessions can also be done one-on-one if a participant wishes. The main goal of Paul and Carly is to make sure they are providing the necessary assistance whenever possible, whether that means a weekly session or an emergency phone call late at night.
“What we do is not mental health counseling, we are a ministry, we are mentors and we are a support system,” said Paul. “We want people to have the best relationship they can and we will do whatever we can to ensure that happens.”
