Robert A. BrooksRobert A. Brooks, 80, Nappanee, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away at 2:58 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital.

On Feb. 27, 1936, he was born in Vineland, N.J., to William and Madge (Moyer) Brooks. Robert was united in marriage to Janet King on Aug. 23, 1959, in Mentone, who survives.

Robert served our country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1955–1957. He then owned Texaco Gas Station before joining Anheuser-Busch Company for 28 years. Robert also worked for the Kosciusko County Sheriff Department in work release for six years. Robert enjoyed antiquing, of which he and his wife did together for 45 years.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Janet Brooks, Nappanee; two children: William Alan Brooks, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Jill (David) Brooks Bultemeier, Battle Creek, Mich.; two grandchildren: Brooks; and Lincoln Bultemeier, Battle Creek, Mich. He loved his family but his children and grandchildren were the love of his life.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with the arrangements.
