
Bonnie W. Ritenour, 80, formerly of Warsaw, then North Manchester, died at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016 in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
She was born July 1, 1935 in Huntington County to Garl Wiley and Opal (Forster) Wiley. She was a 1953 Graduate of Chester Township High School and married Herman Ritenour, May 16, 1954 in Columbia City.
She was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church where she helped in the nursery and was a Children’s Sunday School teacher at one time. She enjoyed watching her grandkids sporting events and was an avid Warsaw High School and IU Basketball fan. She enjoyed travel and was a longtime attendee of the Wagon Wheel Theatre since 1962. Her life centered around her faith and her family and she was devoted to both. She enjoyed square dancing and scrapbooking; volunteered at Washington Elementary School. Loved to cook and bake. She was an avid Longenberger Basket collector
She is survived by her son: Rodney (Anne) Ritenour, North Manchester; five grandchildren: Anthony (Crystal) Ritenour, Louisville, Ky.; Michael Ritenour, Wabash; Troy (Rhonda) Custer, North Manchester; Todd (Heather) Custer, North Manchester; Angela Custer, North Manchester; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother: Ronald (Bonnie) Wiley, Urbana; a sister: Patricia Floor, Cedar City, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother: Alvin Wiley.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 at Titus Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, Thursday, June 9. Pastor Steve Ailes of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts.
