
Floyd Dewayne Creamer, a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, passed way Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. He was 76 years old.
Dewayne, as most called him, was born April 13, 1940 in Harrison Township, Kosciusko County. He was the son of Floyd Alvin and Uvah (Stansberry) Creamer. He was a 1959 graduate of Mentone High School and learned carpentry from a young age.
It was while remodeling the Robbins’ family home that he initially met Susan Robbins, to whom he would ultimately be wed. Although their paths wouldn’t align for nearly forty years, on June 13, 2002 Dewayne and Susan were married in Warsaw.
Dewayne was a member of the Moose Lodge, Warsaw, and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was known for his detail oriented work and fine craftsmanship, even making furniture pieces for his family. He enjoyed dancing, singing karaoke and attending antiques auctions.
In addition to his wife, Susan Creamer of Warsaw, his passing leaves behind a daughter: Lana Kay Creamer; son: Todd (wife Rachel) Creamer; granddaughters: Kalen Creamer and Courtney Creamer, all of Warsaw; grandson: Noah Susits, at home; sister: Mary Esther (husband Chuck) Carpenter, Etna Green; brother: Marvin Lee (wife Fran) Creamer, Arkansas; step-daughter: Melissa Rupe, Warsaw; step-son: Jeff Rupe, LaPorte; and many nieces and nephews.
Those who preceded Dewayne in passing are his parents: Floyd and Uvah Creamer; brother: Herbert Eugene Creamer and sister: Wilma Ilene Creamer.
Friends and family may gather for a time of sharing in Titus Funeral Home Wednesday, June 2 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 3 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bob Jarboe, chaplain for Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
