Triton Golf: Eads Ace Highlights Trojans’ Double
WARSAW – It was a big day for the Triton and Tippecanoe Valley boys golf teams Thursday.
It was an even bigger day for Mace Eads of the Trojans.
Eads aced the par three No. 2 hole on the Rozella Ford Golf Course layout to highlight Triton’s wins over the Vikings and Bremen.
The host Trojans shot one of their top scores of the season in posting a 159. Valley shot their best 9-hole effort of the year with a 165 and Bremen came in at 180.
Jeremy Julian continued his fine play for the Vikings as he shot a 35 to earn medalist honors.
Brenden Kreft led Triton with a 37. Isaac Wall and Jordan Anderson each shot a 39 for the Trojans, while Beau Hepler had a 44 and Eads a 45.
Trevor Neeley came in with a 41 for Valley. Chandler Newsome shot a 44, Cole Cumberland 45 and Kane Stellar 54 for the Vikings.
Valley, now 9-5, will compete in the Lancer Invitational on Saturday at Swan Lake and then take part in the Warsaw Sectional on June 3 back at Rozella Ford.
