Visiting Churubusco handed Lakeland Christian Academy a 3-0 setback Thursday evening in prep volleyball action.

The Eagles topped the Cougars 25-23, 25-13, 26-24  in action in Winona Lake.

Senior Frani Gerst led LCA with five kills and an ace. Sophomore Paige Price had five kills, 13 assists and an ace for the Cougars. Senior Jessica Goss had three kills and three aces.

Churubusco won the JV match by a 2-0 final.

LCA, now 5-4 on the season, plays at Granger Christian School Friday (Sept. 14) with the JV match at 6 p.m.
