Andrew Ryan Garrett, 49, passed away May 20, 2016, at St. Vincent’s Regional Hospital, Anderson. He was born July 5, 1966, to Willie Garrett and Patricia Carter Peyton.

He was a 1984 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. He served an enlistment with the United States Air Force and served a total of four years. He owned and operated Crownover Jewelry Store, Warsaw, for several years. He loved all sports and was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Kiwanis Club. He was very active in fundraising for the Baker Youth Club.

Left to cherish his loving memory are a daughter: Mackenzie Mae Garrett, Warsaw; his mother and stepfather: Daniel; and Patricia Carter Peyton; his father and stepmother: Willie; and Paulette Garrett; four sisters: Amy Garrett; Gina (Mike) Lowe; Mary (Jeffrey) Crandall; Laura (Gary) Whittle; two stepbrothers: Bradley Phelps; and Daniel Peyton II; two stepsisters: Lisa Neal; and Candi Chambers; three aunts: Sue Rose; Debra Garrett; and Joyce (Charlie) Papenhaus; two uncles: Elgan ‘Sonny’ (Pat) Carter; and Michael (Lauren) Carter; and several nieces and nephews: Lowe; Taylor Crandall; Cassie Crandall; Nickolas Crandall; an aunt: Joyce (Charlie) Papenhaus; a stepsister: Laura (Gary) Whittle, Illiminck; and a stepson: Jordan Dotson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ryan; and Vera Garrett; and Elgan; and Ladosca Carter; two uncles: Bobby Lou Garrett; and Keith Garrett; and three cousins: Tracy Clark; Kenny Garrett; and Terry Garrett.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Macer-Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with the Rev. Tom McGilliard officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Summit Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
