David A. Christian, 62, North Manchester, passed away at 8:15 a.m. on May 20, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at CR 1400 North 100 East, North Manchester.
David was born on Feb. 4, 1954, Warsaw, to James A. and Lockie A. (Enis) Christian. He married Debra A. Stump on Oct. 26, 1992. Debra passed away on January 25, 2013. He worked for Zimmer, Warsaw, as a machinist for 35 years, before retiring in July 2015. He graduated from Wawasee High School in 1972. David was an avid bird hunter and outdoorsman. He loved to pheasant hunt. David also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was always able to offer words of encouragement and always found the positive in every situation. David leaves a legacy of love, family, and commitment.
David is survived by his two sons: Tony (Erika) Martion, Charlotte, N.C.; and Mark (Lindsey) Christian, Zionsville; one daughter: Alexis Christian, North Manchester; two brothers: John (Jan) Christian, Syracuse; and Greg (Roxanne) Christian, Bourbon; five sisters: Betty Fanchello, Mesquite, Texas; Billy Ann Wright, Warsaw; Jewel (Tom) Hicks, Warsaw; Jimma (Mike) Masterson, Warsaw; and Ellie Susan (Henry) Prater, Warsaw; and seven grandchildren: Riley; Katie; Xander; Avery; Trevor; Leah; and Jace. David is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two sisters.
Friends and family may call Thursday, May 26, from 4-8 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester. Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, with calling a half hour prior services at Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, Silver Lake. Pastor Doug Reichenbach will officiate.
