Caylie Teel was a difference maker as the Tippecanoe Valley volleyball team edged past LaVille Tuesday night.

Teel led the Vikings to a 28-26, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22 victory in the closely-contested, non-conference match.

Teel had 15 kills to go with 11 digs to lead Valley in both categories in the win.

Sara Alexander had 13 kills, Kelsey Ball 10 and Courtney Newsome eight for the Vikings. Alexander also led her team with two blocks.

Lauren Early had 10 digs and Newsome and Danielle Adams each had eight for the winners’ defensively. Ball and Connor Fraser each had two service aces. Kelsey Eckert racked up 48 assists for Valley.

The Vikings also won the JV contest by posting a 25-9, 25-16 victory.
