Warsaw Downtown Clean Up

WARSAW — Warsaw Community Development Corporation (WCDC) successfully held the first Downtown Clean Up day on Saturday, May 14th, despite the frigid temperature and rain.

During the event, Clear Image donated both time and equipment to wash the windows of vacant storefronts. Twenty-one volunteers gathered to sweep the sidewalks and alleys in preparation for the downtown summer attractions. The City of Warsaw does a tremendous job cleaning the streets, alleys and sidewalks, and therefore, the voluntary cleaning crews completed their assignments earlier than expected. Kosciusko County Tobacco-Free Coalition educated volunteers about toxins and the importance of not littering.

Volunteers were then divided into teams where they collected Thank you to our sponsors: Warsaw Community Development Corporation, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, The City of Warsaw, Rabb Water Systems, McDonalds on Detroit Street, KC Recycling Depot, Kosciusko County Tobacco-Free Coalition, Clear Image, and Buffalo Street Emporium. Warsaw Community Development strives to develop Warsaw’s Central Business District through investments in people, buildings, businesses and land.
