WARSAW — Michael Allen Moriarity, 28, 604 Sheridan Drive, Loves Park, Ill., was sentenced today, Monday, May 16, in Kosciusko County Circuit Court on the counts of possession of cocaine and the unlawful possession of a syringe.

Moriarity was arrested on the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015. Moriarity was preliminarily charged with aiding, inducing or causing dealing in cocaine more than 10 grams, a level 2 felony; possession of cocaine, a level 4 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
Moriarity pled guilty in a plea agreement on the counts of possession of cocaine and the unlawful possession of a syringe.
When asked if he had anything he’d like to say, Moriarity told the court, “I have no ties to this state and I admit that I did wrong. Please find it in you to let me go back to Illinois. I don’t know anyone here.”
Circuit Court Judge Michael Reed sentenced Moriarity to two years at the Indiana Department of Correction for the count of possession of cocaine and one year at the Indiana Department of Correction for the possession of a syringe. Moriarity will serve these sentences concurrently with a credit of 184 days for time already served.
