The Warsaw girls soccer team played to a 1-1 deadlock Monday evening at Fort Wayne Northrop in a non-conference contest.

The Tigers took a 1-0 lead early in the second half versus the Bruins. Freshman Elizabeth Van Wormer scored, off an assist from senior Erica Gauger, to give Warsaw its lead in the 48th minute.

Northrop tied the game on an unassisted goal by Sophie Long in the 62nd minute.

The Bruins had a 6-5 edge in shots on goal in the tie. Warsaw junior goalie Abby Schue had five saves. Gabrielle Rosheck had four saves for Northrop. The Tigers had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Warsaw won the JV game 1-0.  Sandra Granda scored for the Tigers with an assist going to Lexi Myers.

Warsaw is now 6-2-2 overall on the season. The Tigers are 2-2-1 in Northern Lakes Conference play. Warsaw hosts Columbia City Thursday in a varsity only game at 7 p.m. The Tiger JV is scheduled to host Carroll Thursday at 5:15 p.m.
