Richard Charles Ziegert, Jr., 63, passed away at 11:18 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Richard was born on Jan. 13, 1953, in South Bend, to the late Richard Charles Ziegert, Sr. and Phyllis Ann (O’Leary) Ziegert.

Richard is survived by his wife: Olive Lucille (Thompson) Ziegert; three daughters: Katrina (Todd) Rosenthal, Venice, Fla.; Pamela (Scott) Tindal, Cabot, N.C.; and Traci Ruscio, South Bend; two sons: Billy (Debby) Ruscio, Osceola; Jeremy Maske, South Bend; ten grandchildren: Austin; Christopher; Jocelyn; Isaac; Matthew; Elizabeth; Quentin; George; Ava; Samantha; four brothers: Danny (Katie) Ziegert; Mark Ziegert; David Ziegert, all of Plymouth; and Steve (Janet) Ziegert, Denver, Colo.; stepbrother: Pat Marsh, Ohio. Richard was preceded in death by his brother: Paul Ziegert; and a stepbrother: Mike Marsh.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 12, at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel. Burial and military graveside services will take place at Marion National Cemetery, Marion. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at the funeral home.
