Baseball Buried In Rain
Triton and Bremen gave it a go Monday, and got in an official game. The 9-3 score after 4.5 innings was enough as the rains forced the game to be called, giving the game to the leading Lions.
Stats were not immediately provided from the game.
Triton (8-9) is scheduled to host South Bend Riley Tuesday at Ken Keller Field.
Softball Able To Get Going Early
Triton used a 10-spot in the first inning Monday to cruise past Culver, 14-1, near the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee.
Taytum Hargrave, Megan Berger, Nicole Sechrist and Kayla Kreft all had RBI singles in the first inning as Triton was able to put the game away early.
Hargrave and Kreft combined for five RBIs and five runs scored to lead Triton. Berger was 3-3 and Sechrist and Zoee Stephan added two hits apiece.
Jennings struck out seven in four innings to get the win.
Triton (7-8) is scheduled to play again Tuesday in HNAC action at North Judson.
Tennis At Riley Moved To Next Week
The original girls tennis match on the schedule between Triton and South Bend Riley has been moved to Monday, May 16 at South Bend Riley.
Triton (12-1) will play Wednesday and Thursday in the HNAC Championships hosted by Knox. Triton won the regular season title with a 6-0 mark, not losing a court in any of the matches.
