
LEESBURG — Brooks Lee Kuhl, 34, 4057 N. Sullivan Road, Leesburg, has been arrested on charges of theft. He was booked into the county jail early today, May 9, by North Webster Police.
The charge, originally a class A misdemeanor, has been enhanced to a level 6 felony due to a theft conviction Sept. 11, 2012. He was also booked on a body attachment warrant from a civil case.
Kuhl allegedly removed one Go Pro camera, one automobile air filter and one automobile battery from Wal-Mart Feb. 27. A surveillance video shows Kuhl carrying the merchandise past all points of sale, without paying. The merchandise is valued at $469.32.
Police spoke with Kuhl March 13, who admitted to the theft.
He is being held on $5,000 surety and $250 cash bond on the theft charge. The body attachment has a bond of $500 cash.
