SOUTH WHITLEY – A singles sweep carried the Whitko girls tennis team past Tippecanoe Valley in a Three Rivers Conference match Wednesday.

The Wildcats claimed straight set wins on all three singles courts to top the Vikings 3-2 in the league match that was the completion of an earlier match that was stopped due to rain.

Morgan Keirn led the Wildcats with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Aerin Shewman at No. 1 singles.

Delaney Keirn won 6-0, 6-0 over Kennedy Niedbalski at No. 2 singles and Jackie Werstler posted a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Lea Stouder at No. 3 singles.

The Vikings won both of the doubles matches in three sets. The pair of Brooke Danner and Cassidy Cave topped Natalie Iholtz and Jenna VanCuren at No. 1. The duo of Baca and Bradley beat Lauren Walpole and Brooke Prater at No. 2.
