Schue,-Clarence-(older)

Clarence J. Schue, 88, Warsaw, died at 6:52 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in his home.

He was born May 24, 1927 in Chicago to Clarence Schue, Sr. and Beatrice (Hendrixson) Schue. He was a graduate of Lane Technical High School, Chicago. Immediately after graduating, Clarence joined the US Navy where he served with the Pacific Fleet. His two year tour of duty included battles in the Philippines, Japan, China and Australia.

He married Julia Durham, Dec. 22, 1951, in Warsaw. They were married for 64 years. He was employed by Armstrong Engineers, L.M. Berry and retired from Sun Metal Products after 20 years. He was a 69 year member of Warsaw American Legion #49, a member of First United Methodist Church; some of his hobbies included working on puzzles, gardening and traveling. He spent many winters in Phoenix, Ariz.

He is survived by his wife: Julia Schue, Warsaw; his son: Ken (Laura) Schue, Warsaw; his granddaughter: Amanda (Bret) Walters, Warsaw; three grandsons: Jeremy Schue; Joel Schue; and Jared Schue, all of Ohio; and two great grandchildren: Delaney Walters, Warsaw; Cooper Walters, Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by a son: Phillip Schue; a daughter: Lori Schue; and a brother: Dennis R. Schue.

A visitation will take place at Titus Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 29. A graveside service will occur at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 30, in Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. Pastor Scott Carmer of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw will officiate.
