WINONA LAKE – Jacob Brown of Grace’s track and field team was recognized as the NCCAA National Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday.

Brown broke a school record and won the hammer throw at the Manchester Spartan Classic on Saturday. He cleared 47 meters to win the hammer throw out of 13 competitors. He also earned a third-place finish in the discus.

Brown is the team’s second NCCAA Athlete of the Week winner, joining Nathan Brown who won on Feb. 10.
