SILVER LAKE — The town of Silver Lake will host its annual spring cleanup Saturday, May 14. Items need to be set out early Saturday morning.

Prohibited items include:

• Paints
• Oils
• Tires
• Large appliances
• Large furniture
• TVs
• Computers
• Microwaves
• Lawn waste like leaves, grass and limbs
• Anything containing Freon unless the Freon has been drained and the item tagged by a service professional

Other reminders are as follows:

• All items need to be easily accessible by the road. Private property will not be entered to remove items.
• The area needs to be 6 feet by 6 feet only.
• Those with large items are asked to call Stafford’s Solid Waste, (574) 269-2492, before May 14, to schedule removal. An additional fee will apply for these items.
• Stafford’s Solid Waste will not re-route to pick up last-minute items.
• Spring cleanup is for residents of the town of Silver Lake only.
