Ronald R. Stricklin, 76, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at home. He was born in Rostraver, Pennsylvania to Albert L. and Catherine M. (Vukovich) Stricklin on August 28, 1939. He married Joyce C. Andring on Sept. 19, 1967.

Ron treasured his family, especially his grandkids. He also enjoyed quiet activities, like fishing, hunting, reading, and puzzles. Ron was a member of the Teamsters Union #365 and the Moose Lodge 1518 of North Manchester, but he was proudest of his AA membership. He kept his sobriety for over 30 years and had a desire to help others through AA.

Ron will be missed by his wife, Joyce Stricklin, Syracuse; two children: Albert L. Stricklin, Syracuse and Evelyn L. (Matthew) Tobias, Nappanee; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and two siblings: Evelyn “June” Groves of Milford and Robert Stricklin of Greensburg, Pa.

He will be welcomed into Everlasting by a grandson, Ronald E. Stricklin and two siblings: Albert “Lee” Stricklin and Elizabeth Jane Hamm.

Family and friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Mishler Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Milford.

A funeral service in Ron’s honor will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery.
