Terry Menefee, 59, Grovertown, formerly of North Liberty, passed away peacefully at 2:01 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 22, 1957, in North Liberty, to Jack and Ann Lu (Worthington) Menefee. On Aug. 24, 1996, in North Liberty, he was united in marriage to Joyce E. Stevens.
Terry is survived by his wife: Joyce E. Menefee; two daughters: Heather (Dustin) Menefee, Syracuse; Rachelle (Brad) Pearson, Valparaiso; his beloved dog: Sheeba; sisters-in-law: Connie (Greg) Hudak, Iowa; Gail (Dennis) Clark, Indianapolis; and Anita (Bruce) Lawhorn, Carmel; brother-in-law: Dan (Barb) Stevens, Avon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Tim and Tracy Menefee.
Terry is lifelong resident of North Liberty living in Grovertown for the last twenty years. He worked for Art Iron Inc. for many years and was a truck driver for Hehr International. He loved drag racing and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt. He loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, gardening and canning. Terry was extremely mechanical. He loved his dogs and enjoyed watching and teaching his daughters the game of softball and never missed a game.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Palmer Funeral Home, North Liberty. Graveside services and burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3-8 p.m. Friday, April 15, in the funeral home.
Contributions in memory of Terry Menefee may be offered to ALS Association, Indianapolis.
