E-books are now available for patrons of the Syracuse Public Library to check-out through an e-book service called Overdrive.

The Syracuse Library’s online e-book catalog can be accessed at cidc.lib.overdrive.com. E-books can be checked out and downloaded on a number of different devices, including e-readers such as Nooks and Kindles, smartphones such as iPhones and Android phones, and even on your personal computer.

Patrons can check out up to three e-book titles at one time, and can also check-out audiobooks through Overdrive to listen to on their devices. Many older classics in the public domain can be downloaded through Overdrive and kept forever.

With Overdrive, there are no late fees because the book will expire from your device on the day you choose. There are thousands of titles available and will be more every month.

If you need help setting up your device to use Overdrive, help is available on the library’s website through Overdrive (help.overdrive.com), and patrons can also call the library at 574-457-3022.
