PIERCETON — Jeffery Lee Brewer, 32, 308 S. Third St., Pierceton, has been arrested for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and auto theft following an attempt to steal a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix Monday evening, March 28.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Officers were called to the 8200 block of US 30, Pierceton at 10:07 p.m. when Brewer was seen attempting to steal a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix. The call was received from the vehicle’s owner, Cory B. Smith.

The vehicle sustained damage to the stereo and ignition console in the attempted theft. Damage was estimated up to $2,500.

Police located Jeffery L. Brewer later and was placed under arrest. No bond was listed on his booking sheet.
