AKRON — Students at Akron Elementary School recently celebrated Read Across Kosciusko County with a special reading by Tippecanoe Valley High School student, including junior Aerin Shewman.

Shewman is a member of the Kosciusko Endowment Youth Services, which sponsored Read Across Kosciusko County at Akron to promote literacy. Each second-grader received a book to take home. The book’s author will return to the school before the end of the year to talk to students about the writing process.
