A clean sweep at singles sparked host Culver Academy to a 4-1 non-conference boys tennis win over Warsaw Wednesday.

The Eagles got straight set wins at all three singles positions.

Quinlan Smith led the way by defeated Kyle Wettschurack 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 for the hosts. Sam Concannon beat Evan Miller 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 and Eric Maudhuit won 6-1, 6-2 over AJ Jansen at No. 3.

Warsaw’s lone point came from its No. 2 doubles team of Connor Singrey and Will Petro. The duo defeated Aaron Arvizu and Abel Barrera 6-4, 6-3.

The hosts won at No. 1 doubles as Alec and Austin Proeh teamed to top AJ Herendeen and Sam Rice 6-2, 6-2.

Warsaw won the JV match by an 8-7 final.

Warsaw (4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference)  hosts league foe Plymouth Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
