Wayne Sliter, 69, Plymouth, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.
Wayne was born June 28, 1946, in Agusta, Ark. to Archie and Zora (Middleton) Sliter, both of whom preceded him in death along with an infant brother and sister. On Nov. 28, 1964, he married Minnie Jones.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife: Minnie (Jones) Sliter, Plymouth; two daughters: Gina (Rick) Hesch, Lakeville; Michelle (Joe) Heckathorn, Rochester; and one son: David (Rachael) Sliter, Lakeville; seven grandchildren: Tyler; Kayla; Kenadee; Amber; Maison; Braden; and Logan; a sister: Betty (Steve) Boros, Argos; and two treasured nieces: Nichole and Bethany Boros.
Wayne retired from Mastics Corp. of South Bend after over 30 years of service. He loved building and restoring old hot rods alongside his son, and was a member of the Rebel Rouser’s car club where he served as president. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Wayne loved spending time with his family and friends. As per Wayne’s wishes, no funeral services will be held following cremation. Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, is handling arrangements.
