TOPEKA — The Whitko boys basketball team suffered a season-ending loss Friday night. The Wildcats took on sectional host Westview in the first semi-final of the night. The host Warriors outscored Whitko 21-9 in the first half on their way to a 50-46 victory.

River West led Whitko with 17 points. Nate Walpole added 13. Tanner Gaff and Spencer Sroufe tied for the team lead with six rebounds each.

Whitko closes the season with a 14-10 record, the program’s first winning record since 2010-11.
