A former North Webster resident perished in a mobile home fire early this morning in nearby Albion.

Jennifer Murphy, 40, reportedly became trapped inside her trailer when a fire started at about 5 a.m. today. The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the blaze, which fully consumed the front end of the mobile home within just minutes.

According to Channel 15 in Fort Wayne, a man and two children were able to escape the fire. They were taken to Parkview Noble Hospital with minor injuries. The family dog is missing.
