Stephen W. Rusnak, 91, passed away peacefully in Harlingen, Texas, on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, surrounded by his family.
Steve proudly served in the U.S.Army Air Corp from 1942-1946 in England, Germany and France. He started his career with General Motors in Cleveland, Ohio, and retired after 30 plus years as a supervisor in machine repair from GM in Anderson. He and his wife spent their retirement years in North Webster and Port Charlotte, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; ten siblings; and the love of his life: Edythe Kinkaid Rusnak, to whom he was married for 56 years. He is survived by his daughters: Elizabeth R. (Duane) Ormes, Brownsville, Texas; Kathy (Jerry) Barrett, North Webster; granddaughters: Amy Tygrett, Brownsville, Texas; Libby (Tom) Reinert, Hobe Sound, Fla.; Melissa (Brad) Lierman, Bremen; Andrea (Cory) Barrett, Pendleton; and nine great-grandchildren.
On Tuesday, March 1, a memorial with Military Honors was held in Brownsville, Texas.
