An attentive sheriff’s deputy spotted a stolen vehicle passing through Warsaw Saturday afternoon and now one man is jailed.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Chad Hill tells StaceyPageOnline.com that a vehicle, apparently a type of truck used in construction, was stolen from North Dakota. Deputy James Marshall saw the truck traveling east on U.S. 30 at Parker Street and initiated a traffic stop with the assistance of Warsaw Police officers and KCSD Sgt. Rick Shepherd.

Sgt. Hill says the driver, Christopher Ray Tressler, 29, of Defiance, Ohio, was removed from the vehicle without incident and arrested. He has preliminarily been charged with theft of a motor vehicle. He allegedly stole the truck from a previous employment project.

Three other individuals in the truck were released and not charged.

Tressler’s bond was set at $2,000 and he bonded out of jail Saturday night.
